Bush was overheard saying to an Australian official that we are “kicking ass in Iraq”.
Does kicking ass mean that we have caused over 2 million Iraqi citizens to leave their country as a result of our invasion of Iraq.
Does kicking ass mean that several thousand American’s have lost their lives in Iraq.
Does kicking ass mean that we have destroyed whole cities and left Iraqis homeless.
Does kicking ass mean that thousands of Americans have come home with a lifetime of sorrow because of lost limbs and disabilities.
Does kicking ass mean that we have killed and wounded thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens as so called collateral damage.
Does kicking ass mean that we have spent hundreds of billions of dollars with nothing to show for it but the above.
Whose ass should be kicked is what I want to know. I think the guys that got us into this war should have their asses kicked. They lied to the American public, they listened to ex-patriot Iraqi who lied to them, they have botched this war that has had American troops in the field of battle longer that the battles of World War II.
When will we get out from under this layer of lies that the current administration has told us and stop this occupation of a foreign nation and let the Iragis solve their own problems.
Just my opinion….but my opinion appears on the lips of many Americans now a days .

One of my images has been accepted into a group show. The group show is “Evidence of Things Unseen” with an opening on July 28, 2007. The group show will be at the Peninsula Museum of Art in Belmont, California.
The image picked for the group show is the image I have picked for the cover of my book (soon to be published) called “The Emerging Goddess”.
Info on the book can be seen at The Emerging Goddess
Thought you might want to see the last three images from a photo shoot for the Emerging Goddess book project. The book is coming along with all the images having been taken, having found a person to write the introduction and more poems being written by my partner on the project poet Madeline Sharples.
The model’s name is Nicole (aka – candy poses) and she is model listed on Model Mayhem.com.

Other images and info about the book can be seen at www.theemerginggoddess.com
All emergin goddess images have been registered with the copyright office.
Let us imagine that I am an Iranian sitting in my home in Tehran and I am thinking about the United States invasion of Iraq. What thoughts would pass through my mind and what would be their validity based upon my vantage point.
I would believe that the United States has done a wonderful thing – he has taken out an enemy, Saddam Hussein – a man who waged an eight year war against our country that killed over a half million Iranians.
BUT I also would think that Bush and the United States have invaded a neighboring country without a legal justification. In this world one cannot attack another country legally without the agreement of the United Nations or in self defense after having been attacked. So on one hand I say thank you and on the other hand I denounce the invasion.
Now what do I propose doing – I would support my country in any manner necessary to protect my country from an invasion by the United States – and that would include building nuclear weapons – as a deterent, just as the United States does – what right does the United States have in maintaining an arsenal of thousands of nuclear weapons and at the same time accuse other nations for attempting to protect themselves. And remember that the United States is the only nation to use nuclear weapons in a war and is a nation that has proposed using them again when necessary.
So where does that leave my country Iran (remember I am putting myself in the position of an Iranian citizen):
- in a defensive position – we the Iranians are not on the offensive – the Bush administration is – with a stated policy of attacking other countries that impact their idea of their interests on a preemtive basis. We Iranians have never said we would attack another country – other than some wild pronouncements by our current leader that Isreal should not exist as a country – and you should all realize that he never thought that the justification for statehood for Isreal was legal and just and therefore should not exsist as a nation – this should not be taken as a pronouncement of an attact of Isreal by Iran.
What do I think should be done now – I would support the United Nations in bringing peace to my region of the world. First by condeming the illegal attack of Iraq by the United States and then by bringing the nations of the region together to attempt to bring a just peace to Iraq and to remove the invading troops from Iraq.
(This post was inspired by a conversation with an Iranian now living in Los Angeles and from the memories of my one year living in Iran many years ago)
I have been active on Model Mayhem’s web site lately. Having worked with three models from the site already and I have two more scheduled in the next several weeks. It is very easy to use the service. I am currently working on two projects:
the first is a book project called “The Emerging Goddess” and the other is a photographic project of yoga positions with the end result being a calendar for 2008 and a book on yoga. So if you are looking for a model for any project go to the web site of Model Mayhem – www.modelmayhem.com – and you are on you way.
I just finished working with a model named Lelah from Model Mayhem and here’s one of the images from the shoot:

Speaking of the book “The Emerging Goddess” you can read about it and see some images from the book at
